On June 15, we invite our communities to join us in raising awareness of elder abuse and in finding ways to help keep older adults safe.
Each year, an estimated 5 million older persons are abused, neglected and exploited. Due to Covid-19, the increased isolation of many older adults also increases their risk of abuse and neglect.
At Family Pathways, we support older adults through homemaking services, our new Doorstep Delivery food support program, and our caregiver support programs. The companionship and care provided by these programs not only helps older adults live well but also helps to protect them from potential abuse arising from isolation.
To join Family Pathways in keeping older adults safe, please consider volunteering or donating today!
